Long Term Care

What is Long Term Care (LTC)?
Hands-on care or stand-by assistance with the activities of daily living.  Someone with a prolonged physical illness, a disability, or a cognitive impairment usually needs LTC.
Please remember these costs are estimated and they can vary depending on the area of the state where you receive care.  Do you need LTC Insurance?  How can you buy LTC Insurance?  How much do LTC policies cost?  Please feel free to contact our office for answers to your Long Term Care insurance questions!

Why Buy LTC

Three main reasons:
• To remain at home as long as possible.
• To protect the assets you’ve worked a lifetime to accumulate.
• To avoid becoming a burden to your family.

What triggers LTC benefits?

The inability to do the activities of daily living (ADLs).  Most companies use bathing, continence, dressing, eating, toileting, and transferring.  A policy pays benefits when someone cannot do two or three of the six ADLs.

Where do people receive care?
